Fat is liposuctioned from your hips, thighs, abdomen and back using very fine cannulas (a long, thin metal tube that is inserted into an area to suction fat from an area). This liposuction technique allows Dr. Walker to contour these body areas while she harvests fat.
After liposuction, the fat is purified and re-injected back into different areas of the buttocks and at various depths so that the patient will get the highest permanent absorption rate. Many very small incisions (about the size of a grain of rice) are made in buttocks which are used as the entry point for fat transfer. Dr. Walker will do her best to make your incisions inconspicuous. After fat transfer incisions are closed.
Correct injection methods are essential to achieve a uniform, smooth, natural appearance to the buttocks. The buttocks are sculpted restoring the empty volume on the inside, while lifting and tightening the outer skin laxity. This new fullness restores the butt to a more youthful shape.
Recovery from buttock augmentation is approximately 12 to 14 days. The actual augmentation procedure is minimally invasive performed through extremely small incisions that leave undetectable scars. Patients are not allowed to sit on their buttocks for 72 hours and are able to return to work after two weeks.
