Dr. Walker received her undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Washington Medical School in Seattle where she graduated with Thesis Honors. After being awarded an International College of Surgeons Scholarship at the University of Oxford School of Medicine, in Great Britain, Dr. Walker went on to complete her residency in otolaryngology and general surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. She then continued on to complete her residency in plastic surgery at Georgetown University Medical School. Following her residency, Dr. Walker completed a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at the Hopital Necker in Paris, France with Docteur Daniel Marchac. Dr. Walker has been in private practice since 1995.
Dr. Walker is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and the American Board of Otolaryngology, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Walker is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Northeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, National Capital Plastic Surgery Society, Candidate member of American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Osler Medical Society, Yale Surgical Society, Yale Otolaryngology Alumni Association, and the University of Washington Alumni Association. She is a member of Luz del Sol, a volunteer plastic surgery organization, and has traveled to the Dominican Republic to provide surgical care to the indigent. Dr. Walker participates in the Knock Out Abuse program and has volunteered her surgical services to abused women and children.
Dr. Walker specializes in both non-operative and surgical facial rejuvenation procedures, nasal surgery for breathing difficulties and cosmetic deformities, liposuction and liposculpture, body re-contouring procedures (“tummy-tuck”- abdominoplasty), and breast reconstruction and augmentation. She has participated in the FDA/Mentor Adjunct Study for Silicone Gel-Filled Implants at Sibley Hospital. Dr. Walker has also published articles in the areas of breast anatomy, rhinoplasty, and fat reduction therapy. She has appeared on Channel 4 News, Sibley Memorial Hospital General Education Panels, Georgetown University Panels, and participated as a clinical instructor in facial rejuvenation courses teaching advances in face-lifting procedures. Dr. Walker currently has hospital privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital, MedStar Surgery Center, Georgetown University Hospital, and The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase.
